We have taken a little break... but it is the 29th of the month today and we are back!!!  It is time for another Social [Media] Butterflies Blog Hop...

This month we are working with Skipping5 products: adorable puffy stickers, cute little paper candy, flair and sequins!  So, hop along and enjoy our ideas.  Leave comments along the way to be entered to win some Skipping5 sticker sheets.  And if you feel like you need some of these awesome goodies NOW, go ahead, place an order and enter the code SMB15 to receive a 15% discount!

Here is my layout, the June trip to Canada:

I made a big pie chart to document our trip in June.  The little puffy pie chart stickers were a perfect embellishment.  Each photo was anchored down with a little sparkly candy from Skipping5

Here is a close up picture of my pie chart.  I cut it directly into the background paper of my layout.

I love the colors of these little square paper candies!

Shay is next up on the blog hop.  Be sure to stop by her blog for more inspiration.

Thank you for hopping today!

by the light of the iPad

Good morning,  I have had this layout ready for a little while and forgot to post it.

What do you do when you have a picture that really isn't scrapping worthy, but you like the memory?  There is something about this photo that I really liked, even though it is in the dark and of pretty terrible quality!  Sometimes that is OK.  In this case all I needed was a memory, so I went with it and still made a scrapbook page out of it.

by the light of the iPad:

This LOVE circle cut is a Chic Tags freebie... I seriously love cutting in to the background of my layout these days and this was a perfect cut file to do that.  I cut it out and used it like a moon and then added a bunch of stars around it.

Tomorrow is the Social [Media] Butterflies blog hop so be sure to stop back by...

the park in grand bend

Hi there,  I haven't been around much this week with getting my kids back to school.  I am hoping that means I can soon fall in to a routine myself with blogging and scrapbooking layouts.  I am up on the Bella Blvd blog today with this layout that uses Playdate, a brand new Bella line.  The colors in this line are super fun and bright.

I added a little bit of interest to this card by hand stitching along the lines of the sun rays and then sticking some buttons randomly on top.

Of course, I always add a little bit of machine stitching too when I can...

one last glance back...

It is almost back to school around here.  The kids have one day left and then they are right back at it!  In honor of back to school week I am posting a layout that I made for Chic Tags with the brand new Schoolhouse line that will be available in a couple of short weeks!  I am going back in time with this one.  This picture was from the first day of kindergarten.  It seems like yesterday... now he will start 4th grade!  Seriously, where has the time gone??

This ombre paper is my absolute favorite.  I used my silhouette to cut the circle pattern through it.

Thanks for coming by today.  For more back to school inspiration, check out the Practical Scrappers blog today.

my 3

Hi there.  I have a layout on the Bella Blvd blog today... We used this washi taped letter found on  Pinterest to inspire us in our projects.

Here is the layout that I came up with.  I cut out my kids first initials and the number 3 from my background page.  I put strips of washi tape behind each negative.  Then I hand stitched a grid and embellished my layout with the new Bella Blvd goodies.  Fun, busy and colorful!

Be back soon... thanks for coming by!

you've got this

I am back from a fantastic beach week in Grand Bend last week with a layout that I made for the Scrapbooking Studio.  This month I worked with the Fancy Pants line, Down by the Shore, a nice collection of papers for so many different summery things, not just beach stuff.  I went with a baseball picture for this one.

you've got this:

I have added a grouping of Studio Calico wood veneer embellishments here.

Ink drops and stitching always make me happy.

And here is another quick little card that I put together with this line and my cameo.   I topped it off with an Epiphany Crafts epoxy.

Thanks for popping by today.  Have a good start to your week!

5 little things

Hello!  I am up on the Chic Tags blog today with this new layout, but I thought I would post it here as well.   It is just an everyday layout with 5 random little things that I don't want to forget about my middle guy at 7 1/2.  Check out the Chic Tags blog for the details and for some tips on how I layered my tags so that you could still read them.

I can't believe we are a week in to August already!  I hope you have been enjoying your summer.  Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

play

This layout is on the Epiphany Crafts blog today.  I am finally using up some old October Afternoon paper that I have been hoarding.  I have come to realize that they keep making new paper, so I don't need to save, save, save the old stuff.  I can use it up and be assured that yes, new paper that I love will come out.  So.... here it is.

 Play:

These flowers were made with just a simple circle punch.  They are so easy to do and they give so much depth to the layout.  Check out the Epiphany Crafts blog for some tips on how to make them.

Thanks for coming by today!
