SC SeCret Santa

I've been meaning to post pictures of one of my happiest mail days for a while now...Last week a box from my Studio Calico SeCret Santa arrived.  Inside were all of these divinely wrapped little prezzies that only a scrapbooker would LOVE.  I waited for a quiet moment, made myself a cup of coffee and enjoyed unwrapping them all.  There is such a fantastic group of women over on the Studio Calico boards.  I am so glad to have joined in after lurking for so long!

And here are the contents of my beautifully wrapped packages.  I love every last piece.  Thanks again, Shanna!  And thank you to Shay for setting up this whole gig!  That must have taken some planning and thinking.  I know that time is precious!

december daily cover + some soup spotting

Good morning!  Today I have a couple of pictures of my December Daily cover and a few of the little insert pages that I've made.  I am using a combination of American Crafts Kringle & Co, Studio Calico Wonderland and Pink Paislee City Sidewalks.   I still need to put it all together, but it is at least a start!

Here are a couple of the little 4x6 inserts I am putting in:

And these will be my base pages:

I guess I had better get to work on getting this mini album together.  December is only a few days away!

In other news... I've been soup spotted on the Jillibean Soup Blog today.  Stop by and check it out!

a back to school layout

Well, it is not exactly back to school time, but I have finally had some time to dig into a Studio Calico kit and scrapbook some back to school pics.  I love that Studio Calico picks papers from all different companies and puts them together with the most adorable embellishments.

Third grade:

I stitched this little card to make a pocket and then used it to hide my journaling that I did on a tag.

Little vellum envelopes filled with special things and confetti are a big trend right now.  I've been wanting to join in and try it out.

I know I promised some sneak peeks of my December Daily.  It is coming along.  Maybe tomorrow??  Thanks for visiting.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It is American Thanksgiving today!  Here is a layout for you to check out in case you have some extra blog reading time over this long weekend.  This is another Bella Blvd Fall layout that was featured on the blog yesterday.  I wanted to try some masking and misting and so I made the rays of my sun with a circular mask and some orange mist.  I pieced some patterned paper over top of every other section of my misted circle and then of course added some stitching on top.  Never complete without some stitching!

Here is a close up of my sun:

Stop by the Bella Blvd blog to see a few more detailed shots of this layout as well some other beautiful layout inspiration.

at the patch layout

Hello!  Today over on the Bella blog we are featuring Fall and Thanksgiving layouts.  Here is mine... We have gone to the same pumpkin patch every year for four or five years now and each year, I have a taken a picture of the kids in front of this old blue truck.  It has been fun for all of us to look back at the years before to see how they have changed.

Stop by the Bella Blvd blog today to read more on how my layout came together and see some of the other designers' Fall and Thanksgiving layouts.

swim

I love this picture of my little guy in his swim suit.  He was so excited to start swimming with the swim club and I am happy that he has something to do of his very own.  To make the background of this layout I used a craft knife to cut out some of the zigzags.  They kind of reminded me of waves especially with the aqua paper behind.

The confetti punch in the striped paper looked like bubbles to me.

And then I added these strips of water-like patterned paper at the bottom.

I hope your week has started off on the right foot.  Check back in with my blog soon.  There will be a couple more layouts and maybe even a sneak peek of my December Daily album to come!

saturday sketch at Bella Blvd

It's Saturday!  And hopefully you will have some time to scrapbook this weekend.  Why not try this sketch?  It is up on the Bella Blvd blog today.  Check out the blog to see what our fabulous team did.

Here is my take on the sketch.  I usually stick to just one or two photos on a layout so this was a little bit of a challenge for me.  Because of that,  I stuck very true to the sketch.  I love how it turned out though!   Hop on over to the blog today to see some detail pics of my layout, read about my thought process and see what the other designers have done.  You will be inspired!  Maybe you will give this sketch a go as well?  I would love to see what you come up with.

the good life

Believe it or not, I had a few extra minutes to make a layout just because!  I loved making this one... so many layers and little details!  I've been waiting to scrapbook this picture of these two.  What a good big brother this guy is.  Warms my heart!

Here are some close up pictures of my layers.

a library card drawer

I've had this library card drawer sitting in my scrapbook room for a while now... and I have been wondering what to do with it.  Finally, I came up with an idea.  A Countdown to Christmas!  I used the numbers from the BoBunny Mistletoe line for each card and then added some pretty embellishments and decorations...

Soon my library card drawer was full of all sorts of goodies!

This project is a class at the Scrapbooking Studio.  Thursday November 29th at 6pm.  I would love for you to join me!  Stop by the blog tomorrow to have a sneak peek of some of the cards.

card on a monday

Good morning!  Today I have a little Christmas card that I made for the Scrapbooking Studio.  It was really simple to make.  I punched three pinked circles in the green patterned paper and put a strip of a second patterned paper behind.  Then I stuck in three decorative brads in the circles, offset them so that they didn't need to be lined up perfectly.  Added my ribbon and tag and some stitching of course!

And here is the inside:

You can find this Bo Bunny collection at the Scrapbooking Studio.

i love this picture

Hello!  I am back today with another Christmas layout for the Scrapbooking Studio.  Little snippets of Bo Bunny's Mistletoe was used to put this one together.

My line of stars was made from a combination of two different sized star punches and some chipboard star pieces.  Some are popped up with foam tape to add dimension.

I love this picture that Noah drew of his grandma and grandpa with me and my brother when we were kids!   A special present for his grandparents.

Hope to see you come by the Scrapbooking Studio this weekend.

inspiration layout

Today on the Bella Blvd blog is inspiration day!  That means we were given an image and we were to create a layout using the image as our inspiration.  Here is the image for this month:

And here is my layout...  The first thing that came to mind were circles, circles, circles!  I punched lots of circles out Bella's newest line Kiss Me in a variety of sizes and stitched them all together to make garlands to go across my page.   I found the perfect little dancer pictures to go along with these soft pink tones.  Check out the Bella Blvd blog today for more layouts inspired by the Thankful Tree image.

Thanks for stopping by!

it's almost that time of year again...

Halloween is over.  It is now November...soon to be Thanksgiving and then Christmas!  I always find it goes fast from now till Christmas!  Here is a layout I did for the Scrapbooking Studio using Bo Bunny's
Mistletoe line of paper.  The bright, bold colors were really fun to work with.

I used my Cameo to make the title.  I am really enjoying that thing!

Lots of layers and some stitching.

Check back soon for more projects using this line of paper
