an American Thanksgiving

Good morning!  Today I am sharing a layout that I made for Bella Blvd.  I love the bright fall colors in the Thankful collection and it was fun to add a few more bits of pink, which is sort of nontraditional fall colors.  My two boys were less than thrilled to see this picture go on a layout that "everybody will see," but I thought it was rather cute.  Stop by the Bella Blvd blog today to see some detail shots of this layout and read a bit more of the story behind the picture.  There are a bunch of layouts on the blog that will inspire you today!

a muddy day layout

Inspired by gluestickgirl,  I made this layout with strips of my favorite papers, tapes and ruler ribbon.  This was one of Studio Calico's kits. Slowly but surely I am making my way to these kits.  I adore them... every little piece in them, but I always have a hard time finding the time to use them.

a quick card

It is Friday!  Any plans for the weekend?  Maybe check out the Scrapbooking Studio... lots of new product has arrived!  I have a quick little card that I made to show you today.  I used the end of my Carta Bella Alphabet Junction scraps to make this one.  You just need little one inch squares of a couple different papers.  Arrange them in a pattern and then add some stitching on top!

T is for tea party

Today I am showing you a little mini album that I made using a cameo cutting file and some of the Carta Bella Alphabet Junction papers.   The cute little forest animals in this collection were perfect for the tea party pictures I had taken this summer.

The cover flap opens up and secures with a magnet.

Each page is a little pocket for a tag...a great place to add hidden journaling or some more pictures.

For each of my tags I cut a little forest animal and then added a sentiment.  I tried to keep it simple!

And there you have it... a quick and easy mini album!  This little book is at the Scrapbooking Studio.  Stop by and check it out!

bits and pieces

Ever wonder what to do with all of the bits and pieces you have leftover from a collection of papers?  Make another layout!  I had lots of little pieces of Too Cute to Spook papers after making a couple of layouts and I don't like throwing paper away!  You don't need to have big sheets to make a cute layout.  I like to take little bits and strips and just piece them together.  I added some stitching to hold everything down, a big title and some embellishments to complete the look.

Keeping Up

Wow, two posts in one day!  Today my Keeping Up layout is featured on the Bella Blvd blog.   Stop by the blog today to see some detail shots of this layout and learn about my thought process as I created it.  There are also a handful of other layouts today that you won't want to miss!

You and Me

It is Monday again... and today I am sharing another layout made with Carta Bella's Alphabet Junction paper line.    This one is an 8.5 x 11.  Sometimes I like to switch things up.  It is fun working with a different sized canvas, and I love the look of the different sized pages in my albums.  This line is totally cute for a baby, but can easily be used for small kids in general.  Love it!

You and Me:  created for the Scrapbooking Studio

Here are some close up pictures...  I love stitching on my projects, so I ran my machine over this banner to add some stitching.

I used a Studio Calico mask and some white mist to make the big ampersand sign.

a tradition

Since my husband and I are both from Canada, it has been our tradition to dress our babies as a Canadian beaver for their first Halloween!  Piper was a very tiny baby for her first Halloween, so this is actually her second.  I am not sure she was all that pleased to be dressed as a beaver at 14 months, but it pleased the rest of us!  Here is a layout I made using scraps... mainly Bella Blvd scraps, but a few other really OLD Halloween pieces that I had left over.   Sometimes a long title takes over the place of journaling.

Here's a closer look:
I found some really old Pink Paislee rub ons and brads.

And some tiny Making Memories brads from the past.  They blended in well with my ink splattering!

I cut the "family tradition" part of the title with my cameo on the cardstock and then placed the patterned paper behind it.

And then I dug out the Making Memories little type letters that I had hoarded.  These ones had spider webs in the background!

Soon to come... more Bella Blvd Halloween layouts.  Check back soon.

ballet class layout

Today's layout is one for the Scrapbooking Studio.  I love this picture of my little Piper looking in to the dance studio on the first day of her ballet class and so I made it the center focus of my layout.  I used Carta Bella's Alphabet Junction line. The soft, pretty colors were just perfect.

Hexagons are a popular trend right now.  I used foam tape to pop some random hexagons and added some rock candy distress stickles to them, though it is difficult to see in the pictures.

A layout is never finished without a little bit of stitching.

I will post some more projects using this line of paper over the next few days.

two Halloween layouts

Hello, I am back today with my last of the projects for the Scrapbooking Studio using the Authentique Enchanted collection.  Two Halloween layouts.

Pumpkin Carving 101: I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make the paper spider webs and then added some stringy spider webs on top, stapling with my tiny attacher to keep it pulled tight.  So many fun sticker embellishments came with this line.  And of course my title was done with my cameo.

Haunted Halloween:  My cameo was a great help with this layout!  Made the title, witch and haunted house.  I added some rock candy distress stickles to the witch to help her stand out.

best witches card

Still using the Authentique Enchanted line, I made a Halloween card.  The witch's boot was cut using my cameo and then just pieced together.  Simple but very fun!

I used black cardstock for the base of the card so inside I added a place to write.

You can pick up this line of paper and see the samples at the Scrapbooking Studio.
